Our Vision

Dickson Academy is a Christian, co-educational, college-preparatory school for families seeking academic and personal excellence through the development of a well-rounded student committed to the Body of Christ.

Dickson Academy strives to shape students who are:

Centered in Christ

Lifelong learners

Critical thinkers

Service oriented

Committed to excellence

We seek to accomplish this by providing a respectful, challenging and caring environment for a diverse community of students. We endeavor to educate the whole person - spiritual, intellectual, emotional, artistic, and physical. Students will be encouraged to develop the vision and practice of excellence in academics, character, leadership, and service.

Commitment to Service

Commitment to service is a fundamental part of Christian learning and living.  While academics and competition may make our school's reputation flourish, the act of service encourages our students to walk in the path of Christ.  Dickson Academy seeks to offer service opportunities for our students throughout the local, regional, and global community with the intent of strengthening their personal relationship with the Creator through Jesus Christ.  We plan to partner with and lend support to a sister school in Latin America, providing a tangible outlet for multicultural service and ministry.

Commitment to Character

At Dickson Academy, we strongly believe in the values of work, respect, and responsibility.  To that end, students will be expected to participate daily in the care and upkeep of the school facility, with the intent of fostering a sense of gratitude and ownership, rather than a sense of entitlement.

I Timothy 6:17-19:

"Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.  Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed."
