Madison and Tucker Grace Spencer began a Spencer family dynasty in the Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference Monday at Currey Ingram. Tucker won the girls' individual championship with a time of 9:40 on the 1.5 mile course. Madison, the elder of the two, won the girls 3 mile race with a time of 20:04. Both girls set personal bests at the race.
Madison Spencer, along with high school teammate Payton Brasher, took home the girls team title as well. Madison and Payton won first and second place in all 4 races they ran this season in MTAC races.
It was a very successful cross country season and we look forward to 2012!
The DA boys team performed extremely well in the Championship meet as well. All boys finished well ahead of their fastest time to date. Both Cameron and Keaton finished in the top ten of their races.
Coach Goolsby is willing to go to any length for Dickson Academy to succeed at Cross Country. Luckily, he has some young speedsters that are dedicated to running and RUNNING FAST!!! GO FALCON XC!!!
